Products that you Hated or Didn't Deserve the Hype?!

We all get suckered into getting products that we just don't need. And sometimes, we get products that are supposedly amazing, but they don't do a thing for us!!! Ever happened to you?? If so, which products and what was bad about them?

Creme de la Mer! Luckily I didn't purchase this and just got a deluxe sample from Nordstrom! This stuff was thick and stiff and my face felt suffocated in the stuff! I used the rest of the sample on my elbows and feet! Me no likey.

I have a couple of products I hated - Revlon Illuminance Creame Shadow it was not suppose to crease for 18 hours blah blah blah...on me it cresed within the hour. I also hate the duo primer mascaras.. I have really small eyes and almost no top lashes, so the brush on the one I had was bulky and short, the minute I tried to put the primer on it smeared all over my lid it was a mess (HATED IT)

I will never understand the Maybelline Great Lash or the Diorshow raves. Can't stand either of them :-/.

Miss Jessie's all day! SO glad that I bought the trial sizes first. Unfortunately, I bought the full size shampoos and conditioner, and they sucked too.

Everything they make is a ineffective and overpriced.

I have to co-sign on the Maybelline Great Lash hype. Tried it way back in middle school and I knew even then that it was a hot mess! Does nothing for your lashes. I think editors hype it up because its "cool" to use/shout-out a cult product.

Same goes for Diorshow. I got compliments on it, but my lashes didn't look very good to me.

Same here. I get a decent twist out with the Curly Pudding, but nothing else really works for me. I have friends who swear by the Miss Jessie's brand and just about everyone of them recommended their products to me when I began transitioning.

I was really surprised when I didn't like it and mad because I bought into the hype.

I was competely duped when I purchased the maybeline stiletto mascara... it did not live up to the hype or the cute packaging.

HAVE TO SAY I HATED THE MAYBELINES STILETTO MASCARA!!!! IT DID NOTHING FOR MY LASHES:(

Now I Might Get alot of Flack for this but I would have to say the Color Craft E/S.. I Loved this Collection on Paper but once I got to my MAC Pro I just couldn't deal. Maybe its because I prefer a Matte E/S to a Shimmer but to me I didn't like them... I've seen some Women do some BEAUTIFUL Looks with them but there not for me.

That Bare Minerals Makeup. When I put it on it made my skin look ashy and gray. So glad i tried it on before I bought it:)

I am a mascara freak so the products that didn't deserve the hype to me would have to be the Maybelline Great Lash mascara in the pink and green tube, the HIP mascara didn't do a thing for me. I tried Sephora's Lash Plumping mascara...not a thing...

Bare Minerals Makeup. It looked so beautiful on television but I didn't like it on my skin. Mary K mineral foundation was also a bad product for my skin.
